Sally Lewis is a freelance curator with an archaeology background, Associate of the Museums Association, and specialises in dance and heritage. From 2015-17 Sally was a consultant for Pavilion Dance South West on their dance and museums programme, and has continued to develop a practitioner-led dance heritage network; including via social media (see below).
As well as the Imagination Museum, she participates in various associated networks, advocating for co-created, cross-sector, impactful collection collaborations including: Association for Performing Arts Collections, Subject Specialist Network Consortium (Executive Committee) and Artworks Alliance. She is working with a Develop Your Creative Practice grant from Arts Council England on the evaluation of dance and heritage projects, and also collaborating with Traceworks Dance on developing their partnership offer to heritage organisations and communities.
