Practical dance workshop – The Imagination Museum in Suffolk

14th May 2024

DanceEast

A practical dance workshop, following from our Telling Everyone’s Story event on Monday 13th May at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich.

This is an optional practical session at DanceEast (Foundry Lane, Ipswich, IP4 1DW) on the 14th May and will take place from 10-1pm. This free session will be aimed primarily at dance artists interested in working in response to heritage (but all are welcome), facilitated by The Imagination Museum’s current Strategic Lead, Katie Green. We will:

  • have some space to reflect on the discussions from the 13th May
  • move together and try out some practical tasks exploring ways to respond to heritage through dance
  • consider ways that artists might like to respond to the future Imagination Museum co-commission for Suffolk, to be announced later in the year (subject to funding).

To reserve your free space for this event on the 14th May, please visit our booking page on Eventbrite here.

If you have any questions or need any further information, please contact our Project Manager Alice on manager@imaginationmuseum.co.uk .

The Imagination Museum is supported by the National Lottery through Arts Council England, and is currently being managed by Made By Katie Green. In 2024 it is being delivered in partnership with Colchester and Ipswich Museums, DanceEast, Wheal Martyn, Showtown, the Horniman Museum and Gardens and Trinity Laban, with additional support from an Executive Committee, and Advisory Organisations including the Association for Suffolk Museums and Arts & Heritage.
