Glass House Dance and members of the local community will come together on Saturday 15 June at 11 and 1.30pm to unearth stories from exhibitions of Lowestoft Museum and share them through dance.
DanceEast and Glass House Dance have worked with a number of groups over the last few months including Clock Work Dance Company, Pakefield Academy of Performing Arts, Elm Tree Primary School, Oulton Broad Primary School and Pakefield Primary School.
Using the theme of forgotten industries, each group has been looking at a different industry from tv and radio, to the cobbler and shoe industry. The groups will use the exhibitions in the park, as well as large props to portray the different stories.
The DanceMap performance will take the audience on a journey around Nicholas Everitt Park, touching on the lives and industries from Lowestoft’s past. The aim is to sharing the collection in a new and exciting way.
