We have been working with designers Root Studio to launch a new website that will document the journey of performance work The Imagination Museum and provide a new online hub for information about dance work in museums and heritage sites.
We hope you like it!
You will be able to use the website to find out more about future performances of The Imagination Museum, a danced museum tour performed by 3 eccentric tour guides. Over the next 2 years, performances of The Imagination Museum: Mayflower 400 will respond specifically to the historic story of the Mayflower’s voyage from England to America, and will tour to Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Hampshire and Plymouth in the lead up to the 2020 anniversary of the sailing of the Mayflower.
However, this site is not just about us.
We also want you to use the site to:
- find out more about other events happening using dance and movement in museums (What's On)
- read about the creative process involved in this work (Blog)
- explore case studies (Blog)
- discover helpful resources
- join our new Imagination Museum consortium.
If you join the consortium you will be able to share your own events, news, resources and opportunities, and have access to get-togethers where you can meet other artists or museums interested in working collaboratively and begin plotting your own projects.
These are early days for the new online Imagination Museum hub, so please join the discussion and help us develop the project so that it can be as helpful as possible - visit the consortium page to get started...
